Keytaon Thompson is certainly the future of the Mississippi State football program and the future isn’t that far away

Keytaon Thompson looked really, really good. He’s practically tailor made for what Joe Moorhead wants to run on offense. It’s not just that though. Thompson appears as if he is built to operate Moorhead’s offense at an incredibly high level.

In tonight’s game, as was mentioned on the previous slide, Thompson threw 364 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 completions. He torched Stephen F. Austin’s secondary thanks to the help of a new passing scheme and his receivers and running backs.

Oh, and on the ground, Thompson ran for a pair of touchdowns and 109 yards on 10 carries. That’s a total of SEVEN touchdowns in just his second start ever. Keytaon Thompson looks like he’s almost ready to start full time.
