Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia could all make decent arguments to be the No. 1 ranked team

There shouldn’t be anyone surprised with how high Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia are in this year’s preseason AP Poll. As it stands right now, it certainly looks like all three of these teams have what it takes to compete for a national championship this year.

Alabama and Clemson have gone back and forth as the winners of the last three national title games. Georgia would have won the last national championship game had the Bulldogs not suffered an incredible meltdown and Alabama made an incredible comeback.

All three of these teams will have the offensive firepower and the defensive strength to compete and honestly contend for a national title this year. This shouldn’t shock anyone. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise.

These teams will make headlines all year. No real shock there.
