Mississippi State football could have been ranked higher, but they’ll earn that through wins

Mississippi State is the 18th ranked team in the nation. Some believe that the Bulldogs should get significantly more respect, some think the Bulldogs should be ranked just a couple spots higher at the moment.

By the time this season is wrapped up, if the Mississippi State football team is as good as many of us think it is, then the Bulldogs will be ranked higher than it currently is.

Mississippi State has the potential to win nine or ten games and compete against the Southeastern Conference’s best this year. Based on that, MSU should be a higher ranked team than just 18th right now.

But that’s where both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll has Mississippi State at the moment. However, if the Bulldogs can win, and win at a high level this year, they’ll find a way to earn the respect the certainly seem to deserve.
