Honorable Mentions

  • Georgia 2010- Mississippi State’s win over Georgia was one of the first notable wins from the 2010 season. The battle between the Bulldogs got Dan Mullen his first solid win over a big named program, even if Georgia wasn’t any good back then.
  • Ole Miss 2010- Mississippi State beating Ole Miss for the second straight year signaled a change in who was running the Egg Bowl rivalry. In 2008 and early on in 2009, it looked like Ole Miss might be on top with their success. However, an upset win in 2009 for MSU put the Bulldogs on top. A solid win in 2010 kept MSU there.
  • NC State 2015- Mississippi State sent Dak Prescott out one last time as a winner. Dak had done so much for the MSU Bulldogs and got Mississippi State another 9 win season as 2015 came to a close.
  • Rice 2013- The Liberty Bowl in 2013 was a huge win for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Fresh off of two overtime wins in SEC play to even become bold eligible, MSU needed a dominant win to put them out on top going into 2014. That’s what they got when the Bulldogs beat the Rice Owls, a 10 win team in 2013.
