Mississippi State Football vs Texas A&M 2014
Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite wins from the Dan Mullen era of Mississippi State football. The Mississippi State Bulldogs welcomed the Texas A&M Aggies into Davis Wade Stadium and sent the Aggies packing with a huge loss.
At the time, the Bulldogs were the 12th ranked team in the nation while the Aggies were the No. 6 team in the nation. By the end of that game, it was more than clear as to which team was better than the other.
This was the first time that the Bulldogs were able to claim a win against Texas A&M since the Aggies joined the SEC, but it wouldn’t be the last. Since this win, MSU has claimed two of three from A&M and the Bulldogs have shown to be notably better than the Aggies in that timeframe.
With the 48-31 win over Texas A&M back in 2014, Mississippi State continued down the road to moving up to the No. 1 spot in the nation. The Bulldogs made history in 2014 and this win was a huge part of that.
