Mississippi State Football vs Louisiana Tech

Louisiana Tech is a notably tougher opponent than either Louisiana-Lafayette and Stephen F. Austin. In previous seasons, the Bulldogs from Ruston have scared the Mississippi State Bulldogs a bit and challenged Dan Mullen’s teams.

Most Mississippi State fans certainly remember the time that Louisiana Tech took MSU to overtime back in 2011, but State hasn’t had many issues with La Tech in the past couple of meetings.

In 2015, MSU brought La Tech to Starkville and won 45-20, despite Jeff Driskel’s best efforts. In 2017, Mississippi State traveled over to Ruston. That brought up the famed “3rd-and-93” and a 57-21 victory for MSU. Mississippi State has a 92.4 percent chance of winning this game, per ESPN’s Football Power Index.
