Mississippi State Football vs Louisiana-Lafayette

The Ragin’ Cajuns of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette are far from being a college football powerhouse. They’ve only ever been to five bowl games in the history of their football program with all five coming under previous head coach Mark Hudspeth.

From 2011 to 2016, Hudspeth guided the Ragin’ Cajuns to five bowl appearances, all of them coming in the New Orleans Bowl. During that span, ULL won four of their five bowl games, but had to vacate a couple of them.

Now, Mark Hudspeth is in Starkville as an assistant coach on Joe Moorhead’s roster. Billy Napier will be leading Louisiana-Lafayette into Davis Wade Stadium this season. That won’t be an easy task for Napier in his first ever season of being a head coach. MSU has a 99.1 percent chance of winning this game according to ESPN’s FPI.
