It’s normal to be confused about who this Mississippi State baseball is sometimes. However, the Bulldogs are riding a hot streak and are about to take on one of the nation’s best this year in Oregon State. MSU has earned this placement. The Bulldogs have earned this game.
The Bulldogs have earned their spot in this College World Series and are just one game away from competing for a national title.
Mississippi State opened up postseason play by falling apart against LSU in the 2018 Southeastern Conference Tournament. Then, from there, the Bulldogs scored 10 runs and subsequently lost by 10 runs to start their regional.
However, Mississippi State baseball has responded in incredible fashion. MSU played incredibly inspired baseball and won their regional in historic fashion. From there, Mississippi State went and took two games from Vanderbilt on their own turf.

Mississippi State can’t overlook the Oregon State Beavers. Yes, OSU has used up much of its pitching, but they’re still a very talented team.
Still, the Bulldogs are in as good of shape as possible. Mississippi State will start Jacob Billingsley today and then have Ethan Small in case he’s needed over the weekend. That’s a pretty good spot to be in.
