Watch Jordan Westburg’s Three RBI College World Series Double For Mississippi State Baseball

The Mississippi State baseball team got another huge hit from Jordan Westburg in the College World Series

Mississippi State baseball‘s Jordan Westburg came out of nowhere today. The freshman who brought the Rally Banana into existence had an otherworldly game that will forever be a career highlight for him.

First, Westburg launched a grand slam in the top of the 2nd inning. That four run blast pushed Mississippi State baseball ahead by a score of 4-1. That hit alone would be enough for MSU to come away with a win.

However, that wasn’t all that Mississippi State baseball would do.

Mississippi State’s offense would go on to explode for a total of eight runs in the top of the 8th inning. Three of those runs came via Jordan Westburg. And, well, all three of them came through one swing of his bat.

The Bulldogs had the bases consistently loaded throughout the 8th inning. MSU continued to bring in run after run in the frame. After a couple of singles and an intentional walk, the Bulldogs loaded up the bases there in the 8th inning.

From there, Mississippi State added several runs on to the scoreboard via more singles and carefully timed hits. After MSU stretched the lead out to 9-2, that’s when Westburg struck again. Westburg hit a three-RBI double that cleared the bases giving State a 12-2 win over North Carolina.

Now, the Mississippi State Bulldogs are moving on. MSU will play again on Friday. As to who they’ll face? Well, whichever team comes out of the losers bracket unscathed will play Mississippi State on Friday afternoon. So, whoever wins between Oregon State and North Carolina will then play MSU. And they’ll have to beat the Bulldogs twice to advance. Mississippi State is officially in control of their
