Ethan Small Was Chosen By The Arizona Diamondbacks

Ethan Small has arguably been the best pitcher for Mississippi State in 2018. The redshirt sophomore has a 2.94 ERA, a 5-3 win-loss record, and holds a team leading 107 strikeouts this season.

The Bulldogs are probably hoping that Small will return for one more year of college baseball. He has the right makeup to be a great Friday starter for the Bulldogs next season and has proven down the stretch of this year that he should start the Friday game against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

As Konnor Pilkington has struggled at times this season, Ethan Small has been a revelation. Now, Small has a chance to go play for the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. He was selected in the 26th round this year. But, should he come back for one more season, MSU fans will certainly be grateful.
