Plenty Of Offense Was Certainly Present In The Kansas State Spring Game

Kansas State’s spring game was a pretty entertaining one. Their Purple team just barely beat out their White team, winning by a score of 31-28. Their spring game was a fairly balanced one as the two teams went back and forth. As a whole, the two teams combined for 831 yards of total offense in the spring game.

Of course, all of that offense was headlined by the two quarterbacks fighting for that starting spot.

When both players were featured on the Purple team, they played each other to about an even tie. Alex Delton completed 16 of his 21 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown while Skylar Thompson hit 13 of 19 of his passes for a touchdown and 149 yards.

Both did play on the other squad as well with Delton completing 5 of 7 passes for 57 yards and Thompson completing 2 of 3 for 55 yards. Both had a touchdown for the White team.

Whoever wins out this quarterback battle will more than likely succeed this season. And, more than likely, Kansas State fans have to feel good about the fact that they’ll have a solid backup in case injuries strike again.
