Playing On The Road This Early In The 2018 Season Could Be Difficult For Mississippi State Football

The Mississippi State football team is getting a solid test early on in 2018. The Bulldogs traveling up to Manhattan, Kansas in the second week of the season is going to challenge Moorhead’s team and their resiliency. Kansas State is certainly not easy to beat at home.

A season ago, Kansas State went 4-3 at home. That’s not the best home record that a team has ever had, but they were still tough to beat in Manhattan. When TCU arrived on Kansas State’s campus last season, their offense was slowed notably. The Horned Frogs only scored 26 points in their win over the Wildcats.

A week later, against eventual Big 12 champ and College Football Playoff participant Oklahoma, the Wildcats went toe to toe with one of the nation’s best. Kansas State lost 42-35, but they proved again that they could contend with anyone.

Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State football team can’t afford to take the Wildcats lightly. Mississippi State must remain on their toes when playing against Kansas State on their turf next year.
