Beating Texas A&M In The SEC Softball Tournament

Unfortunately, it had been a few years since the Mississippi State softball team claimed a win in the SEC Tournament. To be exact, it was thirteen seasons! That’s right, the last time Mississippi State came away with a win in the SEC Tournament was all the way back in 2005.

Earlier this season, the Bulldogs battled the Texas A&M Aggies close through three games. Mississippi State had opportunities to claim the series but couldn’t get things done to win two of those three games.

In the SEC Tournament, Holly Ward and Mississippi State completely shut down the Aggies’ offense. A&M couldn’t get a run scored and MSU came away with the win in the pitchers’ duel by a score of 2-0.
