Previous SEC Nation Visits To Mississippi State Include Some Big Wins

SEC Nation has arrived on the campus of Mississippi State University a total of four times. In those weeks, the Mississippi State football team has won 3 of their 4 games.

The first win with SEC Nation around came back in 2014. The 6th ranked Texas A&M Aggies came to play the 12th ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs. As we know now, Mississippi State throttled A&M, winning 48-31 and sending the Aggies on a downward spiral for the rest of their season.

In 2015, Mississippi State’s experience hosting the show didn’t go so well. The Bulldogs were the 20th ranked team in the nation. Visiting them was the 3rd ranked team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama won with ease, beating the Bulldogs 31-6.

2016’s stop in Starkville for SEC Nation came during a week of little interest to many. Mississippi State, fresh off an infuriating loss to South Alabama earlier that season, hosted South Carolina. MSU won 27-14.

Last year, unranked Mississippi State hosted SEC Nation before the Bulldogs played the 12th ranked LSU Tigers. MSU didn’t waste any time or exposure in the game and throttled the Tigers 37-7.
