Series History Between These Two Teams

Historically, the Mississippi State baseball team has done a solid job of defeating Kentucky on a fairly regular basis. The Bulldogs hold an overall series advantage of 61 wins to Kentucky’s 39 wins.

However, recently, the Wildcats have done a good job of beating the Bulldogs.

From 2013 to 2015, Mississippi State and Kentucky met a total of 7 times. That’s three times in 2013, once in 2014, and then three times in 2015. Kentucky claimed 5 of those game. MSU won the opening game of the 2013 series but didn’t win again until the final game of the 2015 series.

MSU and Kentucky didn’t play in 2016, but they did in 2017. And last season, when the two teams met, Kentucky claimed a win to open the series. But, Mississippi State then won the next two games with identical scores of 10-6 and carry a two game winning streak heading into this season.
