Mississippi State Softball vs South Carolina 2018 Series Preview

Mississippi State Softball Will Need Solid Bats This Weekend
Through the year, Mississippi State softball has been a very good hitting team. The Bulldogs have an overall team batting average of .296 this season.
Their slugging percentage sits at .476 through the year. On top of that, the Bulldogs have hit 42 home runs this season. That’s pretty good and has kept the Mississippi State Bulldogs pretty competitive.
But, once MSU entered into SEC play, the bats cooled a bit and Mississippi State struggled some. In conference, Mississippi State has a collective .227 batting average and a .361 slugging percentage. Unfortunately, that’s not that great and has led to MSU holding a 6-12 record against SEC teams.
MSU is looking to change that this weekend and improve there.
