Kylin Hill, Nick Gibson, And Dontavian Lee Might Take Some Of Aeris Williams Rushing Opportunities Away, But It’ll Help

Aeris Williams is a great running back. Still, it’s important to utilize a few others to make sure Mississippi State football can use Williams at the top of his performance for the entirety of the season.

Not that this has been an issue before. It really hasn’t.

But, Williams is in his redshirt senior season with Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have had him for a while. Last season, he was the feature back and took quite a few hits. Alleviating some of the pressure on him and spreading out the physical toll could help Williams down the stretch of the season.

Plus, it’ll keep teams off guard if some combination of Williams, Hill, Gibson, and Lee are on the field at the same time. Getting two of those backs in front of opposing defenses will give Mississippi State more options out of the playbook.
