Mississippi State Football Can, And Should, Surpass Media Expectations In 2018

Now, if Mississippi State football were to make a run at things and cause difficulties for the Crimson Tide, that would surpass all sorts of expectations from outside the program. Joe Moorhead wants to set a championship standard in Starkville. Some believe that he isn’t going to be able to do that.

Some media members think that MSU fans should be happy with 7 or 8 wins.

The Bulldogs can do more than that in 2018. With the defensive line that has been built, the group of running backs assembled to assist Nick Fitzgerald, and then Nick Fitzgerald himself, there’s plenty of reasons to believe that the Bulldogs can compete with top tier teams in the SEC.

And that’s without diving into Mississippi State’s offensive line, linebackers, or Joe Moorhead’s record of success at every stop he’s had.

If/when Mississippi State football surprises folks and surpasses expectations, MSU fans will certainly be set on enjoying it.
