Live Stats- Ole Miss

Mississippi State softball needs wins in the SEC. It’s incredibly difficult to win in this conference and there will only be more difficult games up ahead for Vann Stuedeman and her team. Winning and taking this series should be doable for Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs are the better team statistically throughout the year and also in SEC play alone. But that margin is much closer than it probably should be. Mississippi State will need to play closer to the ceiling of its potential this weekend to get back on track and move ahead in SEC softball standings.

Mississippi State needs to claim another SEC series for itself. The Bulldogs took one from Mizzou but then faltered against Georgia and Texas A&M. Between those two series, MSU was swept by Arkansas. Winning this weekend would be huge for State.
