Jacob Robson

Robson broke out in a big way in 2015 for the Bulldogs. He led the team in hitting and stole 21 bases a season ago which was easily the best on the team. As the lead-off hitter, how Robson does will often be a precursor for how the entire team does in general.

MLB scouts drool over the speed Robson brings to the table, and some are projecting him to be drafted in one of the top five rounds of the Amateur this summer. The Bulldogs need Robson to build on what he started a season ago as a sophomore.

If Robson can consistently get on base in the 2016 season, he’ll put pressure on opposing pitchers to keep him where he is. And with his speed, Robson is a threat to turn a single into a double with a quick steal. For someone who can run the bases like Robson, the Mississippi State baseball team is likely to always have a runner in scoring position whenever he gets on base.
