How Many NCAA Tournaments Will the Bulldogs Have Gone to?
Every single one. The only two that concern me are this season and next season. 2016-2017 even more so than the one we are about to begin with. Malik Newman will be gone, but so will many of the seniors who toiled under Rick Ray.
But by year three of the Ben Howland era, Mississippi State will be rolling. The recruiting will be as high as it has ever been based off of the track record of Howland. The team will compete at the highest level it has in years. The only question will be how far will the Bulldogs be able to advance in the Tournament?
That’s the hard part. The NCAA Tournament has become slightly more than a crap shoot. I think the Bulldogs will have made it to at least two Sweet 16s in that time, but figuring out how deep a team can go is just a hunch for everyone who tries.
