Going Back in Time: 10 MSU Football Games I’d Like to Change

10. 2010 vs. #21 Auburn
No team was closer to beating Auburn in 2010 than Mississippi State. On a Thursday night in Starkville they held Cam Newton in check, and were very close to coming away with a win.
At the Auburn 40 yard line at the end of the game, Chris Relf found Leon Barry wide open well within field goal range, but Barry dropped the ball. That was third down, and the Bulldogs were unable to come up with a conversion on fourth down. State lost the game 17-14.
I’d love to go back and put some stickum on Leon Barry’s hands and get a chance to tie the game or win it in regulation.
