Football is the quintessential team sport. To win, it requires all 11 guys on offense doing their job, and it takes all 11 players on defense doing their job.

But there are always players that stand out.

Mississippi State’s game against Auburn was a good win. It might not have been for complete annihilation of the Auburn Tigers, but you are always happy whenever you pick up a road win in the SEC.

The game had its highs and its lows. There were times where it looked like the Tigers were getting ready to claw their way back into the game. But the Bulldogs answered the bell more times than not, and as a result, the Bulldogs walked away from Jordan Hare Stadium with a win in their back pocket.

So here are the five guys I believe were the best of the best in Mississippi State’s 17-9 triumph over the Auburn Tigers on the Plains at Jordan Hare Stadium.
