MSU Mafia is Hard at Work

The Mississippi State fan base is full of bullies.
This is what we have been told in recent months. When Steve Robertson of Scout.com uncovered the details of a catfish using photos from someone else to pose as a Rebel fan, there was a wide range of reactions. The one that most Rebel fans settled on is Twitter is fake anyway, so this was really a non story and just an obsessed fan from the Little Brother school.
However, it hit certain Ole Miss fans just a little too close to home. Some of them even said they were victims of the “MSU Mafia”. And the founder of the MSU Mafia, was Robertson. So who is a member of the mafia?
Robertson is the first person, but Coach 34 of Elitedawgs is certainly a Mafia member. He single handedly hijacked the Out of Bounds show in January and made the morning all about the Ole Miss “Network”. The interview Bounds had with Coach 34 wasn’t all that interesting but the calls that followed and Twitter meltdown from Neal McCready were highly entertaining. There were even rumors his appearance started a boycott of the Out of Bounds show by Ole Miss coaches and staff.
I, as well as all of the other writers here at Maroon and White Nation, are probably members of the MSU Mafia as well. We proudly proclaim our love for all things MSU, and we don’t mind ribbing the Ole Miss folks every now and then. So we must be part of the notorious group as well.
As Ole Miss begins Media Days today, Laremy Tunsil will be a topic Hugh Freeze will be asked quite a bit about. I’m sure the newest member of the mafia is Starkville attorney Matthew Wilson. He is a Mississippi State graduate who is representing the stepfather of Laremy Tunsil. Lindsey Miller tried to represent himself in his first court appearance, but it didn’t go so well. So he enlisted the help of Wilson, and I’m sure that gets Wilson up the hierarchy of the MSU Mafia pretty quickly.
Basically, anyone who loves Mississippi State and doesn’t like Ole Miss is a part of the MSU Mafia. If you find any Rebel fans who believe they have been the “victims” of the MSU Mafia, just say something to them they don’t like about Ole Miss and you’ll be cast in the bully brigade that is the MSU Mafia.
So to all of you who love you Dawgs, and you aren’t ashamed of it, keep up the good work on the streets. And never back down when the heat starts to build.
