Of course, Stricklin could go on the other end of the coin and choose an Ole Miss grad as head coach. Justin wrote about this on Saturday night.
White was an assistant at OM for seven years before taking the head coaching job at LA Tech. In his last three years he’s posted win totals of 27, 29 and 26 respectively. He’s yet to make the NCAA Tournament, but the appears to be a matter of time.
Most State fans strongly oppose White because he’s from Ole Miss. While he’s most likely not a top 5 candidate, it would be silly to assume he’d want to sabotage the program over a rivalry when he’s getting paid $1 million + by MSU.
