#5: Rockey Felker

Known to many MSU fans as the head coach in the late 1980s and/or for his administrative role with the program for the last decade plus, Felker was also a star quarterback in the early 70s.

Rockey was a winner, and elevated several teams that were sub-par. His statistics don’t jump off the page, but he was undoubtedly one of the best. He had a tremendous ability to run and throw.

His breakout year was in 1974 when he threw for over 1,100 yards and rushed for over 400, combining for 15 total touchdowns. MSU finished the year 9-3 with a win over North Carolina in the Sun Bowl.
