SEC football predictions for Week 10
It's not the strongest SEC slate, but a few of these games have the potential to be really entertaining. Here's our picks...
19 Ole Miss at Arkansas
Chase: It will be rocking in Fayetteville this weekend, but Jaxson Dart’s ability to command the offense will be the difference maker. Watch out for the Rebels offense to take off. Ole Miss wins
Reed: Fayetteville has been a house of horrors for Ole Miss for decades, and I think the Rebels’ offense falls flat again. Taylen Green becomes a problem late in the game for Ole Miss, and he wins it with his legs. Arkansas wins
Andrew: I would love to take the trendy (and more enjoyable for all of us) pick, and take Arkansas. But I get a feeling Ole Miss is starting to get its act back together on offense, and their defense will be far more effective against Arkansas than State was. Ole Miss wins
Vanderbilt at Auburn
Chase: Clark Lea continues to lead his team in the right direction. Vanderbilt’s offense is hard to stop, and I do not see Auburn having an answer. I expect Diego Pavia to play well. Vanderbilt wins
Reed: Auburn’s offensive woes, and the play of Diego Pavia are the reasons the ‘Dores win this game. Vanderbilt wins
Andrew: Apparently there's some momentum amongst prognosticators to take Auburn, but...why? I get they just won at Kentucky, but what has Auburn done relative to Vanderbilt to suggest they get the win. Diego Pavia continues his dominance of Hugh Freeze. Vanderbilt wins
Florida vs 2 Georgia
Chase: Georgia is back in the running for the top spot again in the rankings. An angry Kirby Smart is dangerous for opposing teams. Florida isn’t a team I trust at all, especially late in the season. Georgia wins
Reed: I am going with the upset here, and the reason is DJ Lagway. MVB showed you can pass on Georgia, and I think Lagway makes enough big plays with his arm here. Florida wins
Andrew: Florida is playing solid football right now. Unfortunately for them, solid isn't their standard, and it definitely isn't enough to beat Georgia. Georgia wins
10 Texas A&M at South Carolina
Chase: The Aggies found resurgence in their program this season thanks to Mike Elko. Even though South Carolina is a legitimate threat this weekend, Texas A&M will continue to stay undefeated in the SEC. Texas A&M wins
Reed: Almost no one is playing as good as the Aggies are, and with South Carolina being Jekyll & Hyde, I think that is why A&M wins. Texas A&M wins
Andrew: A&M's path to entering the Lonestar Showdown at 10-1, undefeated in the SEC is crystal clear. And that's exactly why it won't happen. Their run gets ruined this weekend. South Carolina came close vs LSU and Alabama. They breakthrough in Williams-Brice against the Aggies. South Carolina wins
Kentucky at 7 Tennessee
Chase: Tennessee has been up and down the last few games, but they continue to win. Their offense has not been pretty, but against Alabama, they found some light. Kentucky is a sinking ship on their last leg. Mark Stoops continues to be on borrowed time with his head coaching position. Tennessee wins
Reed: Tennessee’s defense has a field day against Kentucky on Saturday, and that is why they will win. Tennessee wins
Andrew: I know the Vols have been inconsistent offensively. But Kentucky always struggles in this game, and they're awful this season. Tennessee rolls. Tennessee wins
