College Football predictions for Week 13
There's a massive clash in the Big Ten this week. Let's pick some games across the country.
5 Indiana at 2 Ohio State
Chase: Indiana’s Cinderella story will come to an end once this weekend is over. Ohio State’s offense is too good to stop, and I am afraid Indiana won't have the willpower to keep up. Ryan Day is owed a showtime win, so I expect the Buckeys to do just that. Indiana has a lot to be positive about under Curt Cignetti. Ohio State wins
Reed: I think Ohio State's talent advantage along the defensive line gives them the win. Ohio State wins
Andrew: I know what's most likely happening, but the disrespect from so many, especially SEC fans, towards Indiana is despicable. So I'm taking the Hoosiers out of principle. Indiana wins
14 BYU at 21 Arizona State
Chase: Kenny Dillingham gives Arizona State a fresh breath of air. Arizona State’s home crowd will be a main factor for this game. BYU’s close games will catch up and cause them to lose this weekend. BYU's chances of making the 12-team playoff will be done after this loss. Arizona State wins
Reed: I think BYU will have a let down this game, and as we have all seen, Cam Skattebo is a difficult running back to stop. Arizona State wins
Andrew: Huge game for both teams. I expect a great atmosphere in Tempe, and with the Sun Devils rounding into form, I'll take them to get the home win and end BYU's playoff hopes. Arizona State wins
19 Army vs 6 Notre Dame
Chase: Notre Dame is in the driving seat for a spot in this year's College Football Playoffs. Marcus Freeman is the real deal for the Fighting Irish. This game will be an interesting one to watch, but Notre Dame’s ability to finish is key. Notre Dame wins
Reed: I think the overall talent level will be the difference here. Army is well coached, but the lack of skill position talent is why they will lose. Notre Dame wins
Andrew: While I do #RespectTheTroops, I think Army's in for a long game. The Irish know how to handle option attacks, and they're just too strong. Notre Dame wins
USC at UCLA
Chase: Lincoln Riley is on the hot seat if the Trojans lose to their arch rival. UCLA is trending backwards this season as well. I expect this rivalry game to be special, as it has been in prior matchups. USC wins
Reed: UCLA has been surprisingly better, and I think that they will make enough plays offensively to win a close game. UCLA wins
Andrew: I think USC figured some things out last week with the win over Nebraska, while UCLA fell back to earth. I'll take the Trojans getting bowl-eligible. USC wins
