Predicting the biggest college football games of Week 12 of the 2024 season
More college football predictions for Week 12
Let's make our picks for a few more games around the country.
Arizona State at 16 Kansas State
Chase: Kansas State is a good team this season, regardless of their ranking. Kansas State at home causes problems for opposing teams. Kansas State wins
Reed: We all know the horrors of ASU’s run game, but Kansas State is more
disciplined and better on the defensive side of the ball. They will be able to slow the
rushing attack down while also controlling the line of scrimmage on offense. Look for
them to wear down the Sun Devils. Kansas State wins
Andrew: Arizona State has been one of the underrated good stories of the season. But they need the run game to win, and I don't think they can just line up and run at the K-State front. The Cats need this to stay alive for the Big 12 title, and they'll get it done. Kansas State wins
Baylor at West Virginia
Chase: I have Baylor winning this game in a shootout. This game will go back and forth without a lot of scoring. I don’t see much of a defensive presence to be a factor as well. Baylor wins
Reed: I will take the Bears here with the upset on the road. I think Sawyer Robertson is
playing well, and he very well could make a statement. If they win, he will be the reason
why. Baylor wins
Andrew: Bowl-eligibility is on the line here, though both teams have a good shot at bowling regardless. I don't have a great feel either way, but I think Baylor has been slightly more impressive lately, so I'll take the Bears. Baylor wins
Nebraska at USC
Chase: Nebraska hasn’t lived up to their preseason hype. This game being on the west coast, the time difference may be a factor for Nebraska. USC has nothing to lose too, so I see Lincoln Riley throwing the sink at the Huskers. USC wins
Reed: Nebraska is better on the defensive side, and that will be the main reason why
they’ll come away with the win. Nebraska wins
Andrew: Speaking of bowl-eligibility, this is quite the anxiety-inducing matchup. USC basically has to win if they want any hope at bowling. And after going from 5-1 to 5-4, Nebraska has to be thinking if they don't win this one, could they really miss a bowl again? USC is trying something new at QB, but they feel like a sinking ship. I'll go Huskers. Nebraska wins
