Week 2 of the 2024 college football season has several fun matchups that you'll want to be tuned-in to as we wait for Mississippi State football's late night kickoff. Here are three can't-miss games this Saturday...

3 Texas at 10 Michigan

Saturday 11:00 AM CT on FOX

It's the biggest game of the day. SEC-newcomer and 2023 playoff semifinalist Texas heads north to Ann Arbor to face the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines. Texas is one of the favorites to win the national title while Michigan is clearly a rung or two below where they were a season ago. Texas has a level of offensive firepower Michigan doesn't appear to possess, but the Wolverine defense is still elite. We'll learn plenty about these two teams in this game.

Iowa State at 21 Iowa

Saturday 2:30 PM CT on CBS and Paramount+

One of our sport's ugliest rivalries, the Cy-Hawk game never fails to deliver. By "ugliest", I mean literally ugly to watch, and by "never fails to deliver", I mean never fails to be an absolute slugfest sure to infuriate both fanbases involved. Iowa exploded for 40 points in their opener, breaking in a new offense, and we'll find out if they're legitimately competent on that side of the ball against the Cyclones. Iowa State is a dark horse contender in the Big 12 and could make a statement with a road win over their rivals.

Colorado at Nebraska

Saturday 6:30 PM CT on NBC and Peacock

Did you know Nebraska hasn't won this rivalry game with Colorado since 2010? It's a somewhat misleading note considering both teams left the Big 12 for different leagues in 2011. But they've played three times since then, and Colorado has won all three! Nebraska is desperate to show that the program has new life under Matt Rhule with freshman QB Dylan Raiola leading the show. Meanwhile Colorado wants to justify keeping the national spotlight on Coach Prime's program by adding a notable win to the resume.
