Johnie Cooks is a legend in Starkville and was drafted second overall in the 1982 NFL Draft.
Cooks went on to earn the PFWA All-Rookie Team honor and was apart of the Super Bowl-winning New York Giants squad in 1991.
Throughout his 11-season career, Cooks had 32 sacks and an incredible 4 interceptions.
Cooks spent six seasons with the Colts, four seasons with the Giants, and one season with the Cleveland Browns.
