With the 2023-2024 athletic year having come to an end, the SEC Network is highlighting each school's best moments from the past year with their "Takeovers" series. Each school gets 24 hours dedicated to reliving those moments, and today, Mississippi State announced which games will be replayed during their own takeover.
Mississippi State's 2024 SEC Network Takeover begins tonight, Saturday, July 6, at 11:00 PM CT on, of course, the SEC Network.

Postseason SEC victories highlight Mississippi State's SEC Network Takeover slate
MSU had plenty of big moments in the SEC Tournaments for multiple sports over the past year, and those are highlighted in the 2024 Takeover. Men's basketball's domination over a highly-ranked Tennessee squad to secure a NCAA Tournament berth, baseball's thrilling win over eventual national finalist Texas A&M in Hoover, and women's golf winning the SEC Championship will all be shown Sunday.
2023 Mississippi State football season doesn't make the cut
Football games tend to be the biggest draw for the SEC Takeovers, as football is generally the most popular sport and the more "rewatchable" for fans. But outside of State's 2024 spring game, Bulldog fans won't be reliving any of the prior football season, as no games were selected.
That's not exactly surprising. MSU football went 5-7 with just one SEC victory, a disgusting 7-3 win at Arkansas. Their week two win over a good Arizona team could've been included, but it's clear the MSU athletic department, justifiably, chose not to highlight any of what was overall an infuriating season of Bulldog football.
Hopefully Jeff Lebby provides plenty of wins this fall to be included for next year's SEC Network Takeover.
