The 2024 NFL Combine has come to a close, and Mississippi State football had four players participate at the event. One of those was wide receiver Lideatrick "Tulu" Griffin. Griffin was Mississippi State's top receiver in 2023. Working out of the slot, he caught 50 passes for 658 yards and four touchdowns.

Tulu Griffin was also an outstanding kickoff return man for Mississippi State football. Over his four years, he averaged over 30 yards per return and had two kick return touchdowns. He was one of the most explosive athletes to come through the program in recent history, and now he's looking for a shot in the NFL.

How did he perform at the 2024 NFL Combine?

Lideatrick Griffin NFL Combine Results

Here are Tulu Griffin's key measurements from the 2024 NFL Combine...

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 181 lbs

Arm Length: 30 5/8"

Hand Size: 9 1/8"

Tulu Griffin is obviously not going to blow anyone away with his size. But where he will impress is with his speed. Griffin ran an official 4.43 40-yard dash. That was good to tie for 13th amongst wide receivers. Texas' Xavier Worthy led the position with a NFL Combine record 4.21.

Tulu Griffin recorded a 35.50" vertical and a 10'4" broad jump. He had the 7th-best 3-cone drill amongst wide receivers at 7.00. His 20-yard shuttle was 4.35. Here's Tulu going through the infamous gauntlet drill...

Lideatrick Griffin Relative Athletic Score

A great way to judge a player's athleticism relative to others at their position is through the use of the Relative Athletic Score. The RAS grades players on a 0-10 scale based on their size and testing results. Tulu Griffin was given a 6.70 RAS after the 2024 NFL Combine.

Tulu's speed boosts his rating most, as he was graded as "great" in that area. He's seen as having good explosiveness and okay agility. His lack of size is the biggest thing hurting his RAS, as his 5'10", 181 lb frame is "very poor" relative to his position. Of course he can still easily work out of the slot at that size even in the NFL.

Lideatrick Griffin NFL Combine Performance

Overall, Tulu Griffin had a solid showing at the 2024 NFL Combine. His speed obviously stands out, but his size will be a detractor for some teams, as it makes him more of a specialized player. And despite his explosive nature, he didn't show as much agility as one might have expected based on his shuttle and 3-cone drill. But he was involved in the biggest highlight of the Combine, hauling in a ridiculous 73.5 yard pass from Tennessee's Joe Milton.

Tulu Griffin projects as a late-round pick, but he can still contribute at the next level. His ability as a kick returner adds significant value to teams, and he can become a specialized weapon out of the slot in an offense, such as the Bills' Deonte Harty.
