How to Watch Mississippi State Football Players at the 2024 NFL Combine
The 2024 NFL Combine gets underway on Thursday, February 29. Four former Mississippi State football players are participating and get the chance to showcase their skillsets in front of NFL scouts. It's their opportunity to show NFL franchises they're ready to make an impact at the next level.
But what about fans at home who want to watch our former Bulldogs go through combine drills? Well, they're in luck! All four days of the 2024 NFL Combine will be televised. So when and where should Mississippi State fans tune-in to watch Nathaniel Watson, Jaden Crumedy, Decamerion Richardson, and Tulu Griffin participate in positional drills?
Here's the full combine schedule...
Linebacker Nathaniel Watson
Thursday, Februrary 29 at 2:00 pm CT on the NFL Network
Bulldog fans can watch former linebacker Nathaniel "Bookie" Watson participate in drills Thursday afternoon on the NFL Network. Linebacker testing gets underway Thursday afternoon. Watson was the leader of the Mississippi State defense and led the SEC in tackles in his final season with 137, earning first team All-SEC honors and being named a Butkus Award finalist. One of the most productive Bulldog linebackers of all time now gets his chance at the next level.
Defensive Lineman Jaden Crumedy
Thursday, Februray 29 at 2:00 pm CT on the NFL Network
Defensive line testing is scheduled to get underway at the same time as linebacker. That means that those tuning in for Bookie Watson will also get the chance to see former Mississippi State defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy. At 6'5, 305, Crumedy has the ideal size to play along the defensive interior at the NFL. He possesses great athleticism for his size, and there's a chance he really impresses at the Combine. Could he become the next great Bulldog D-lineman in the league?
Cornerback Decamerion Richardson
Friday, March 1 at 2:00 pm CT on NFL Network
Defensive back testing begins on Friday afternoon. That's when Bulldog corner Decamerion Richardson gets to showcase his skills in front on NFL scouts. Richardson has the size and speed that the NFL is looking for at cornerback. If he can display improved coverage skills at the Combine, he could find himself joining the recent pipeline of Mississippi State corners to the NFL.
Wide Receiver Tulu Griffin
Saturday, March 2 at 12:00 pm CT on NFL Network
Saturday afternoon will be the chance to watch wide receiver drills, and that's when a Mississippi State fan-favorite will take the field. Tulu Griffin is one of the most explosive athletes to come through Starkville in recent years. He was an elite kick returner and his best season as a pass-catcher as a senior with 50 catches for 658 yards and four touchdowns. His big-time play-making ability gives him a shot at the next level, and Saturday is a prime chance to highlight that athleticism.
Mississippi State has built out an impressive roster of former Bulldogs in the NFL, led by Dak Prescott, Chris Jones, and Jeffery Simmons. State's former players have the ninth highest combined salary in the NFL of any college program. Mississippi State Bulldogs are starting to take over the NFL, and now the next batch of former Bulldog stars get to prove they belong in that group.
