Syracuse Orange Basketball

I said earlier that you can get bid-stealers from Power 6 leagues. There's also no rule that says a bid-stealer can't be a traditional college basketball power

And while Jim Boeheim is no longer on the sidelines, there's still a chance that the Orange make yet another late season push to sneak into the NCAA Tournament. Although this time if 'Cuse wants to go dancing, they'll almost certainly have to win the ACC Tournament.

With both a NET and KenPom rank of 79 and just two Quad 1 wins, Syracuse is pretty far removed from the bubble right now, and it's unlikely a couple of wins in Washington, D.C. would be enough to get them in. But it's not out of the question that 'Cuse could make things interesting.

The Orange won five out of seven down the stretch in the regular season, including a win over ACC champion North Carolina. They're a good offensive team and are great at forcing turnovers. They could create some problems for the favorites.

Syracuse's path is a bit tricky. They'll be favored in their opener, which will be against either NC State or Louisville. But assuming they get the win there, they'd face a highly-ranked Duke squad. Still, if they can get past the Blue Devils, look out.
