At the end of the first quarter, the game was tied 7-7 with Kelly Akharaiyi scoring on a five-yard rushing touchdown. The Bulldogs took a 17-14 lead into halftime with Kyle Ferrie kicking a 43-yard field goal and Creed Whittemore scoring on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Blake Shapen with four seconds left in the half.

The third quarter was uneventful for the most part as the only points the Bulldogs scored came from Ferrie when he succesfully made a 47-yard field goal. Early in the fourth quarter, Cam Skattebo scored on a 32-yard rushing touchdown to give the Sun Devils a 28-20 lead. However, State responded when Akharaiyi scored his second touchdown when he hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass from Shapen. State scored the game winning touchdown with 1:01 left in the fourth when Trent Hudson caught a 37-yard touchdown pass. The Bulldogs defense held tough in the final minute as they walked away with a victory in the simulation.

State gained 431 yards of total offense with 18 first downs. They rushed for 119 yards with one touchdown on 38 carries. The offense struggled on third-downs only converting 6 third-downs on 15 attempts. The defense had similar stats to how their real-life counterparts did last week. They allowed 337 yards of total offense. ASU only rushed for 108 yards on 36 carries, but they did run for three touchdowns in the game. The Sun Devils looked to rely more on the ground game in the simulation as they only completed 11 passes on 19 attempts for 213 yards with one touchdown. State also won the turnover battle as Stone Blanton intercepted one pass for the game's only turnover.

Shapen completed 63 percent of his passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns. The rushing attack was spread out as Davon Booth, Shapen, Keyvone Lee and Seth Davis each had at least five rushing attempts. They combined for 118 yards with Booth and Lee each getting over 40 yards. Whittemore had six receptions for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. Akharaiyi caught five passes for 59 yards and Trent Hudson had 69 receiving yards on four receptions. They each had one touchdown too.

Stone Blanton and Khamauri Rogers were the only two Bulldogs who had double digit tackles. Blanton recorded 11 total tackles with one tackle for loss and Rogers recorded 12 tackles with one tackle for loss. Lastly, Kevin Coleman found success in the punt return game in the simulation when he earned 46 yards on four returns.

It remains to be seen if this plays out like this tonight in Tempe, Arizona, but based on what we saw last week, this simulation seems to have an accurate representation of what we saw in week 1.
