Mississippi State football kicks off the 2025 just 10 days from now down in Hattiesburg, and with the season set to get underway, the Bulldogs have been unveiling their uniform options for this fall. Last week, State thrilled fans by announcing the return of the beloved interlocking "MSU" logo, which will be worn on a white helmet to honor the 2000 "Snow Bowl" team when they host Tennessee.

Then, they released an entirely new uniform option. Black uniforms make their return for the first time since 2020 with the Bulldogs' new "Dark Mode" look.

The biggest topic off the offseason amongst State fans has been the debate over helmets, and specifically the logos on the helmets. MSU football officially revealed their helmet options for the 2025 season with the fun video below, and it's safe to say fans will be excited.

If you don't want to go through the entire video to see all the helmet options for 2025, State also released a shorter clip that cuts to the chase with all five helmets that will be worn this season. And yes, the maroon interlocking "MSU" is among the options.

The maroon and white script "State" helmets that made their debut in 2022 before becoming the main helmet design in 2023 both return. A black script "State" helmet now enters the rotation as part of their "Dark Mode" blackout uniforms.

Once the "Snow Bowl" interlocking "MSU" helmets were revealed last week, it seemed obvious that the maroon version──the helmet fans have specifically been begging for──would have to enter the rotation. Sure enough, it's back. And though the Bulldogs now have five helmet options to wear amongst 12 games, I'd bet the maroon interlocking "MSU" gets worn for the majority of those.

This is probably the best collection of helmets State has ever had, but the bigger story is what they represent. It's yet another example of Bulldog athletic director Zac Selmon proving he is willing to listen to fans when it comes to what they want from their program. Fans wanted the interlocking "MSU" back in the rotation, and they're going to get that this season. Having someone like Selmon leading the athletic department is all you can ask for as a fan.
