2. Dak saves the day - Mississippi State wins the 2013 Egg Bowl 17-10
I'm not sure there's been an Egg Bowl in recent history in which one player more emphatically willed his team to a win than 2013. Playing on Thanksgiving for the first time in a decade, Mississippi State needed a win over their rivals to reach a bowl game.
In the fourth quarter down 10-7, an injured Dak Prescott, who had lost his mother just weeks earlier, came off the bench in Starkville to lead his squad. Prescott would lead a game-tying field goal drive and then put the Bulldogs in position for a potential game-winner. That kick would miss, and they Egg Bowl went to overtime for the first time ever.
On a fourth down in overtime, Prescott would run in a TD to put State up 17-10. Ole Miss would get their chance to answer, and it looked like they would, as Rebel QB Bo Wallace broke through the line for what should've been a walk-in TD. But MSU safety Nickoe Whitley would strip Wallace of the ball just before he reached the goal line. MSU would recover, and State won to go bowling.

Dak Prescott's heroics cemented himself as a Mississippi State legend on that night, and he would then go on to establish himself as the greatest player in program history. And the finish to the game, obviously, became a "meme-able" moment for State fans forever.
