Signing Day for the 2025 class was this week, and Mississippi State basketball put ink to paper on the program's best class since 2016. According to 247 Sports, the Bulldogs pulled in the nation's #10 signing class. It was the third-best class in the SEC, only behind Kentucky and LSU. All three of Mississippi State's signees rank inside the Top-125 prospects in the nation, with one in the Top-50.

Elite guard King Grace signs with Mississippi State

Mississippi State's headline signee is shooting guard King Grace out of Waxahachie, Texas. The 4-star is rated as the nation's 46th best player.

Mississippi State beat out the likes of Houston, LSU, and Texas A&M for Grace. The 6-5, 190 guard is a great shooter who'll give the Bulldogs even more scoring in their backcourt.

Jamarion Davis-Fleming once again gives Bulldogs the top player in Mississippi

It's a tradition at this point that the best men's basketball prospect in Mississippi signs with Mississippi State. The continued with the addition of Jamarion Davis-Fleming out of Canton.

A 6-9, 214 center, Davis-Fleming chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, LSU, and Wake Forest. The nation's #91 prospect, he's an important pickup at the 5 as State needs to develop some younger talent in the front court.

Cameren Paul is a needed addition at small forward

MSU did well in the Lonestar State this cycle, adding small forward Cameren Paul out of Grand Prairie, Texas. Paul is the nation's #121 prospect.

State landed Paul over Houston, Oklahoma, and Boston College. After this season, State will have just one true small forward on the roster, so landing Paul was a must.

Chris Jans proves he can recruit at a high level

Chris Jans was highly regarded when he came to Starkville in the spring of 2022. He's a grinder type coach who can get the best of any roster, willing them to wins, and has done great work in the transfer portal.

But high school recruiting was the one area where it was unclear how good he could be. He didn't have that reputation as a coach who could land elite talent out of the high school ranks. With this signing class, he's proven he's more than capable.

If Jans is able to land classes like this one in the coming years, combining that with everything he already does so well, we could be in for an all-time great stretch of Mississippi State basketball.
