Is Mario Craver playing? Final injury report for Bulldogs vs Razorbacks
Mississippi State football has a massive game on Saturday against the Arkansas Razorbacks, and unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they'll be without key players on both sides of the ball.
Freshman wide receiver Mario Craver OUT for Mississippi State football vs Arkansas
The Bulldogs will be without one of their top playmakers against Arkansas. Standout freshman wide receiver Mario Craver is out on Saturday after suffering an injury last week. Reports surfaced during the week that he was expected to miss the game, but Mississippi State did not make it official until their Friday night injury report. Craver is one of the top freshman wideouts in the SEC and is the most explosive player on the roster. Losing him is a big blow to the offense. Guys like Kelly Akharaiyi, Jordan Mosley, and Stonka Burnside will need to step-up in his absence.
Bulldog defensive line is in rough shape entering Saturday's matchup
Mississippi State has been banged up along the defensive line for most of the season. Two of their top defensive tackles, Kalvin Dinkins and Kedrick Bingley-Jones, have been out for several weeks. Both will once again be out, but now the Bulldogs have even less depth. Starting defensive tackle Trevion Williams and starting defensive end De'Monte Russell are also out on Saturday. This means that State will be without four of their top five defensive lineman against the Hogs. Considering this is a Razorbacks team that wants to run the rock, that's particularly bad news.
Arkansas running back Ja'Quinden Jackson OUT on Saturday
That Arkansas run game won't be at full strength this weekend. Starting running back Ja'Quinden Jackson is out on Saturday. Jackson had 592 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season, so that's a major loss for the Hogs. Massive freshman back Braylen Russell is expected to start in his place in Starkville.
