Mississippi State women's basketball is in action Sunday afternoon. They're set to tipoff at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville at 2:00 PM CT. Once again, the only way to watch the Bulldogs will be through streaming. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+, a complimentary service for SEC Network customers. Bulldogs looking to avenge last season's loss to the Mocs

Last season, the Bulldogs went on the road to face Chattanooga and came away with a 59-53 loss. It was a tough loss, but that Mocs team ended up winning 28 games, rolling through the SoCon, and making the tournament. This year, Chattanooga is a very different squad. They have a new head coach, lost their top three scorers, and so far have had some struggles. They're 2-2 with loses, albeit mostly competitive ones, to the two best teams they've faced. They're averaging only 63 PPG with just one player in double-figures. However, they are playing good defense, allowing less than 50 PPG.

Mississippi State is expected to get a win back against Chattanooga

It's clear this game is expected to go quite differently than last season's. According to ESPN Analytics, Mississippi State has a 99% chance of beating Chattanooga on Sunday.

Score prediction for Mississippi State women's basketball vs Chattanooga

While State is facing a respectable program that beat them last year, this should be another comfortable win for the Bulldogs. Chattanooga just isn't close to the same level they previously were, and so far, Mississippi State looks to be a good team. I think it will be somewhat lower scoring given the quality of both defenses, but the Bulldogs won't have to sweat this one much.
