As the season rolls along, EA Sports College Football 25 continues predicting the outcomes of Mississippi State's football games. Last week, EA almost correctly picked Georgia's score, but Mississippi State exceeded the game's expectations of them in real life. With that said, who does EA think will win this pivotal matchup between the Aggies and the Bulldogs?

EA CFB 25 predicts a slugfest between Bulldogs and Aggies

In a low scoring affair, the Aggies prevailed 16-10. The first quarter ended with Mississippi State leading 3-0 thanks to a 34-yard field goal from Kyle Ferrie. For most of the second quarter, Mississippi State was leading before Texas A&M exploded for 13 points in the final two minutes. Randy Bond tied the game with 1:51 left, and Le'Veon Moss gave the Aggies the lead after a 1-yard touchdown run. Bond once again delivered with another field goal as time expired in the first half.

Texas A&M added three more points in the third to extend their lead to 13. Early in the fourth quarter, Michael Van Buren connected with Mario Craver for a 2-yard passing touchdown. At this point, it looked like the Bulldogs were about to mount a comeback, but it was too little too late as they were not able to muster anymore points. The Aggies held strong on defense, and they escaped with the win.

Fumbles cost Mississippi State in simulation

Both teams struggled offensively as State gained 210 yards of total offense while Texas A&M gained 190 yards. State was able to find some success passing as Michael Van Buren completed 13/20 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown. However, Texas A&M dominated the ground game and time of possession. Texas A&M gained 77 yards rushing on 26 attempts with Moss accounting for 67 of those yards with one touchdown. They held possession for three minutes longer, and they only committed one penalty. The game was ultimately won in the turnover battle. Texas A&M did not turn the ball over once while Mississippi State lost two fumbles.

In what was an awful game all around in the simulation, there were only two bright spots for the Bulldogs outside of Van Buren's play at quarterback. Kelly Akharaiyi caught four passes for 64 yards, and Kevin Coleman added 31 more yards on two receptions. If State wants to pull off the upset on Saturday, these two need to have their best game of the season. The other bright spot was on defense were Donterry Russell and De'monte Russell had two tackles for loss. The simulations so far this season have portrayed an accurate representation of State's defense this season, but they have to play better on Saturday to give themselves a chance at pulling the upset.
