College Football Schedule Week 10: Under the Radar Games
Boise State at Fresno State
9:00 PM CT on CBS Sports
At least our nightcap is available through a more traditional broadcast. I am sad to report that my beloved Wyoming Cowboys’ hopes and dreams of finally winning the Mountain West may be dead. Why? Because Boise State decided to wake up and remind everyone who’s the boss of this conference.
The Broncos massacred the Pokes 32-7. They outgained Wyoming 443 to 112. That’s almost 4x the yardage! And they did this with their stud RB Ashton Jeanty missing the majority of the game. It was the first time in a long time that Boise looked like old Boise. If that’s the version of the Broncos that we get the rest of the year, they can absolutely still win the Mountain West crown.
But they’ll need to get it done against Fresno State first. The West Coast Bulldogs are 7-1 and have bounced back nicely from their loss at Wyoming with consecutive wins over Utah State and UNLV. Both games were close, but they were without their starting QB against Utah State. And UNLV is legitimately good. Mikey Keene came back from injury with a 256-yard, four TD performance in their win over the Rebels.
It’s unclear whether or not Jeanty will be healthy for this one, but Boise has a capable group of RBs behind him. These are two of the league’s traditional powers going at it, and once again, the stakes are very high.
