Best Bets

Evan: Nebraska @ Michigan State – Great board this week, a lot of enticing picks. FAU in a pick ’em really had my attention for a while, and I think Utah is a great pick as well, but I think I have to go with the dead man walking of a program laying down for 60 minutes against Nebraska. The Huskers are 5-3 with some real rock-fight wins in there. They play defense very well and that shows with the game total of 34.5. Also, can we talk about Michigan State and the H-man trivia on the scoreboard? Nebraska -3

Justin: Army at No. 25 Air Force – Air Force has been incredibly impressive this year, and Army… hasn’t. Air Force may not score more than three touchdowns in this, but that might be all they need to cover the spread. Air Force -18.5

Andrew: Jacksonville State @ South Carolina – Let’s get a little crazy. I think South Carolina has quit. They’ve lost 4-straight and 3 Ls weren’t close. They’re super banged up. This season has been a massive disappointment, and they know they aren’t even going to salvage the season with a bowl game. Meanwhile Jax State is 7-2 and has been impressive in year one of being a FBS team. They can’t play for a conference title or bowl, so this is their chance at something big. And Rich Rod absolutely will want to pull out all the stops to try and bolster the resume to get back to the Power 5. Gimme Jax State to cover in the Battle of the Gamecocks! Jacksonville State +16.5

John: No. 9 Oklahoma @ No. 22 Oklahoma State – It’s Bedlam week. Oklahoma State is finally back to being ranked after some time wallowing in mediocrity, so this might be a good game! But I don’t think it is. Sure, Ollie Gordon will probably run extremely well like he has all season, but I think Oklahoma is just too good this year. Oklahoma -6

Ethan: Georgia Southern @ Texas State – Georgia Southern and Texas State are two of my favorite teams to watch this season. They’ve got great offenses, brilliant head coaches, and they’ve been really solid teams. They just win more than you expect them to. This week, unfortunately, they face each other. I think this game has a ton of potential to be high-scoring and a lot of fun to keep up with. The over/under is set at 70.5 points right now, but I think it’s safe to take the over on this one. GASO/TXST U70.5

Ryan: No. 15 Notre Dame @ Clemson – Dabo sounds like he is on the verge of a mental breakdown as of late and Clemson has been underperforming more than anyone would’ve thought. Notre Dame is rolling right now after dropping that game to Louisville. I’ll take the Irish to keep Dabo spiraling into full-blown madness. Notre Dame -3
