Week 9 SEC Game Picks and College Football Best Bets
By Evan Ertel
Vanderbilt @ No. 12 Ole Miss (-24.5) (O/U 63.5)
Evan: Vanderbilt is a bad program, but 24.5 is a very large spread for any game. Vandy has been able to be pesky in games, and this one has a garbage-time TD for the Commodores written all over it. Also, I’m tired of getting burned by 20-point favorites. Vanderbilt +24.5
Justin: Trying to figure out if these spreads are too big to cover against Vanderbilt is maddening. Ole Miss does have a history of bumbling their way to a win against the Commodores so maybe that happens again this week. Vanderbilt +24.5
Ethan: There’s too much of a talent difference here and Ole Miss has a lot to play for right now. This one won’t be close. Ole Miss -24.5
John: Let’s get weird. There is no valid reason why the Commodores should keep this one close, but the Khaki Bowl has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. I’ll take the risk. Vanderbilt +24.5
Andrew: it’s a lot of points but Vandy is just bad while Ole Miss, unfortunately, is pretty good. And Lane really hasn’t had any issues handling them. Ole Miss -24.5
Ryan: Ole Miss is going to take care of business here. Vandy is really bad and has a horrid ATS record. Ole Miss is playing well and just has a lot more talent than Vandy. Kiffin understands what he’s playing for right now and the chances he has if they continue to play well and win and it’ll show Saturday against an inferior opponent. Ole Miss -24.5
