No. 13 Washington State @ UCLA (-3.5) (O/U 59)

Evan Ertel: I said it earlier and I’ll say it again: Vegas Sportsbooks are an institution and I am dumb. It’s wild that the 13th-ranked team in the nation is getting a field goal and change. I refuse to be on the disrespect train that Vegas is conducting here, the smart play is the smart play. Washington State +3.5

Justin Strawn: I said I thought the wrong team was favored in Arky and A&M last week. I don’t think the wrong team is favored here, I KNOW the wrong team is favored. Washington State +3.5

Ethan Lee: I love this Washington State team. They’re a ton of fun and have been all season. Their offense is brilliant, they execute cleanly, and they’ve been a great storyline this year. This is the Pac-12 Cinderella story that got overshadowed as everyone focused on Colorado earlier this year. And this team is going to be fun to watch as the season continues. Washington State +3.5

John King: It would seem that Vegas is calling for the Washington State Cinderella story to come to an end this weekend. Personally, I want WSU to continue winning to spite the establishment (including a certain Saturday morning TV show that features a has-been kick-off specialist with bad jokes). Washington State +3.5

Andrew Miller: I love Wazzu. I want them to win the Pac-12 more than anyone else this year. And they’re a legit good team. But the fact they’re an underdog in this game is telling. I don’t have the numbers but I’m pretty sure there’s a trend about betting against a ranked team when they’re underdogs to an unranked team. I have no other analysis but I’m riding with that and hoping I’m wrong. UCLA -3.5

Ryan Strickland: I am dumbfounded by this line. Oddsmakers are trying to tell us something like they did last week with Ole Miss/LSU but I just like Washington State too much to wager against them. They have looked very good all year and seized the moment against good competition and Dickert has a chip on his shoulder about his team getting some more deserved respect. Washington State +3.5
