Mississippi State football vs. Arizona: The Good, Bad and Ugly

The ugly: the disappearance of Creed Whittemore and Mike Wright from the Mississippi State football offensive game plan
Ya know what was really cool in the Southeastern Louisiana game?
Mike Wright and Creed Whittemore breaking big plays. It was so cool, they got shoutouts in the Good section after last week’s win. But for whatever reason, they were not remotely part of the Mississippi State football game plan against the Arizona Wildcats.
Mike Wright didn’t completely disappear to be honest.
He was seen handing the ball off on occasion. And there are rumors that Whittemore was on the field during the game in addition to being active during warm ups.
I just don’t understand why you would scheme them out of the game. I’m of the opinion that getting the ball in your playmakers hands is good strategy. And I don’t mean just so they can hand off to someone else.
I’m hoping we can get these guys more involved this week against the LSU Tigers. The Bulldogs definitely can’t go into the game with the same plan the coaches seemingly had for the Wildcats.
