Mississippi State fans are in love with the new designs that we’ll see on the playing surface at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

There are some changes coming to Scott Field this season. During the 2023 Mississippi State football season, the Bulldogs will be playing on some slightly redesigned surfaces. The rebrand has made its way to the grass inside Davis Wade Stadium.

And things look pretty good. Generally speaking, this design campaign looks pretty good and people are pretty happy.

Of course, since we’ve got access to the internet, we can see exactly how some Mississippi State fans who are active on social media are reacting.

And here is how Mississippi State football fans are reacting.

Yeah, that’d be a bit weird. I mean, it’d be fun, but it’s certainly an unconventional design. And as someone who typically likes unconventional approaches to things, I definitely don’t want the eye emoji everywhere.

This seems like an inevitability. Given all that’s going on with that game, expect this to be the centerpiece of the field during the Kentucky game.

There are going to be a lot of calls for this. Because nostalgia and stuff. And that’s fine, but it’s also fine to go with a new approach. It’s hard to fault folks for wanting that logo though. There’s been a grouping of MSU fans who have called for that logo to be used for years and now they finally have it. So it makes sense for them to want to use it as often as possible.

The unending battles of painting end zones is… interesting.

Let’s keep moving.

Oh! That’d be interesting.

Generally, it looks like Mississippi State fans are happy with the new designs.

You can’t please 100 percent of the populace all the time always. But Zac Selmon and the Mississippi State athletics department have done a pretty good job of making people happy here. My hat is tipped to everyone involved. Good job, folks. Y’all have a lot to be proud of.
