2023 Mississippi State football depth chart set for Southeastern Louisiana
By Ethan Lee
Zach Arnett has his first depth chart lined up. The 2023 Mississippi State football depth chart has been lined up for the Southeastern Louisiana game.
Ahead of the first game of the 2023 Mississippi State football season, we officially have a depth chart. That’s right, it’s game week and we now have access to the 2023 Mississippi State football depth chart for the Bulldogs’ upcoming game against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.
There weren’t a ton of surprises, but the two deep does look pretty interesting. Mississippi State shared the two deep earlier in its game notes ahead of the game against Southeastern Louisiana.
And you can take a quick look at that two deep:

Again, there aren’t a ton of surprises there and it seems pretty straightforward.
Will Rogers is the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs, which was expected. Woody Marks is set to be the starting running back. There’s a bunch of experience on the offensive line. Jett Johnson and Bookie Watson are anchoring things at linebacker.
This is pretty much all that we could have expected.
What is intriguing, at least to me, is seeing guys like Creed Whittemore and Seth Davis have a shot at getting some playing time early on.
Both are listed as “or” sort of options at their respective positions, but given where their names are listed, it stands to reason that Mississippi State football fans will be able to watch Whittemore and Davis get out on the field sooner rather than later. And that’s an exciting thing to think about.
Also, tight ends. Mississippi State has tight ends once again. And both tight ends have been a part of very successful programs (both of their former teams were literally in the national title game this past season).
Football season is here. We have depth charts. It’s time to get ready, folks. Make sure you get your cowbells set. Football is back.
