Mississippi State football has never played these Big 12 teams

Mississippi State football has never faced the Oklahoma Sooners, one of the Big 12’s proudest programs
While most MSU fans are familiar with the rigors of playing within the SEC and the competition that this conference has to offer, it’s worth noting that the Big 12 also boasts potent offenses and hostile crowds. One notable possible heavyweight foe that Mississippi State has never faced is the Oklahoma Sooners, one of the Big 12’s proudest football programs.
Despite being among some of the oldest brands in college football, Oklahoma and Mississippi State football have never faced each other.
The Sooners have a longstanding history of success and tradition that will make them an interesting fit into the SEC despite the fact that Oklahoma is not located in the Southeast (and many will argue that Oklahoma is not a Southern state).
But OU is good at football. Really good at football. They’ve won national titles, have multiple Heisman Trophy winners, and are partially responsible for elevating Mike Leach and the Air Raid offense into the public consciousness.
The Sooners have never visited Starkville or Davis Wade Stadium and similarly Mississippi State has never been to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.
And while these two teams have never played, that should soon change as the Bulldogs will get to meet up with Oklahoma once the Sooners make the move to the Southeastern Conference. However, as things stand right now, State and the Sooners have yet to meet on a football field.
